Hospital Hopes To Identify Man Pulled From River

DETROIT (WWJ) – A local hospital is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man pulled from the Detroit River on Sunday.

DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital says the patient is about 50 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and 200 pounds.   He has medium-length brown hair and a brownish-gray mustache and beard.

He was wearing black pants with a red belt and white low-top sneakers.

DMC spokesman Alton Gunn said the man,  found near the Port Authority Pier by the Renaissance Center, remains in critical condition.

“It’s hard to speculate how he got into the water,” said Gunn. “Our goal is to find members of his family.”

Anyone with information is asked to Gunn at 313-966-9611 or on his cell at 313-850-5221.  You can also page him at 1-800-425-5460 or email to
