Police ID Body Found In Grand River At Grand Haven

GRAND HAVEN (WWJ/AP) - Police in western Michigan say a body found in the flood-swollen Grand River belonged to a 28-year-old man who'd been missing since February.

The Grand Haven public safety department says workers at a marina were moving logs that had jammed against their docks when they spotted the body Thursday.

WGHN-AM reported that Chief Jeff Hawke announced Monday that the body was that of Trevor O'Brien of Grand Rapids. Hawke says O'Brien was reported missing Feb. 3.

The city of Grand Rapids remained under a State of Emergency on Monday due to flooding on the Grand River, which has swollen to above-record levels. (More on this here).
