Detroit Tigers Call Up Bruce Rondon

The Detroit Tigers have called up Bruce Rondon from Triple-A Toledo. Rondon will be replacing Octavio Dotel, who’s on the DL with inflammation in his right arm.

Rondon was expected to be the Tigers opening day starter, but that was derailed when his last outing in spring training was shaky.

Over his last seven games Rondon had 0 runs, 5 hits, 2 walks and 9 strike outs.

It is not known if Rondon will be available for tonight’s game.
