Fire Shuts Down Cabela’s Outdoor Store

DUNDEE (WWJ) – Cabela’s outdoor store in Dundee is closed following an electrical fire Wednesday morning. It happened around 2:30 a.m. as employees were busy restocking shelves.

The fire was doused quickly, no one was hurt, and structural damage was minimal.

But a store spokesman told WWJ Newsradio 950 that a lot of clothing was covered in soot and smoke and would have to be replaced.

The spokesman said they will have a much better idea by Thursday of how long they’ll be closed.

The fire is under investigation.
