American Hydrostatics Forms Subsidiary To Serve Growing Oil, Gas Industry

STERLING HEIGHTS -- Amaco Automation is a new subsidiary of American Hydrostatics, thanks to a $1 million investment from Delta Asset Advisors.

Amaco Automation will serve the growing oil and gas market by delivering controls engineering and automation services to small and medium size oil service companies and water treatment facilities in the United States and Mexico.

American Hydrostatics and Amaco Automation will host a private ribbon cutting and open house event Thursday, May 9 from 3 to 5 p.m. at their headquarters in Sterling Heights.

"With the expansion of the oil and gas exploration industry in the US, Amaco is positioning itself to serve the increased demands for engineering and automation services," said Sri Bramadesam, principal of Delta Asset Advisors. "We are already working with several oil service companies in Oklahoma and Texas."

Amaco will provide turnkey services for oil and gas service companies including supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system design and implementation, controls and automation equipment, wireless communications, systems integration, field service, hydrogen sulfide (H2S) detection and monitoring and database management services.

Amaco has hired two key industry veterans with more than 20 years of experience to help facilitate the growth of the company. The company is also implementing a training program to prepare students from local community colleges to enter the emerging oil and gas industry.

"There is a shortage of workers with the skills necessary to fill many of these job openings," said Madhu Naidu, principal of Delta Asset Advisors. "We expect to hire an additional 15 employees before the end of the year."

Earlier this year, Delta Asset Advisors invested $1 million into American Hydrostatics, which allowed the company to move to a 16,000 square foot building in Sterling Heights. This serves as headquarters for both American Hydrostatics and Amaco Automation. Amaco will have an additional facility in Tulsa, Okla.

American Hydrostatics is a certified Michigan-based minority supplier that was founded in 1982. The company has a proven track record in servicing automotive, marine, military, consumer goods and packaging industries. They are located in Sterling Heights.
