NORTON SHORES (WWJ) – A missing persons case has now been reclassified as an abduction.

Police in the Muskegon area are searching for Jessica Heeringa, who disappeared Friday night from the Exxon gas station, where she is an employee.

copy-Chrysle Mini PrsMe_ Officials say Heeringa was preparing to close the store when she was abducted. Her purse and other belongings were at the gas station — and there was no money missing from the cash drawer.

Investigators are searching for a silver minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town and Country, that was seen in the area of the Exxon station before Heeringa’s disappearance.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity near the Exxon Mobil gas station is asked to contact Silent Observer at 231-72-CRIME (231-722-7463) or call 911.
