Webb Promotes Hamel To President: Jervis B. Webb Co. Wednesday announced the promotion of Kenneth Hamel to president. In his new role, Hamel oversees all departments and subsidiaries of Webb including sales, finance, engineering, project management, customer service, IT, legal, human resources and manufacturing. He joined the company more than 33 years ago and was most recently senior vice president of airport baggage handling.  Hamel is also a member of Daifuku Webb Holding Co.'s board. In addition, Webb promoted Bill Kline to executive vice president of airport baggage handling. In this position, Kline will lead Webb's airport baggage handling division to future growth and expansion. Kline has been with Webb for more than 12 years and has more than 25 years of experience in the airport baggage handling industry. He was most recently vice president of project management. Webb develops and sells material handling technology such as automatic guided vehicles, automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors, baggage handling systems, bulk handling systems, clean room systems and airport maintenance services. They are used in the automotive, airport, semiconductor, LCD equipment, food and beverage, bulk, warehousing and manufacturing industries. Daifuku Webb is headquartered in Farmington Hills.
