Gone In 60 Seconds: Police Investigate Early Morning Jewelry Heist

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) – Gone in 60 Seconds! An early morning break in at a Washington Township Jewelry store has Macomb County Sheriffs on the lookout.

The smash and grab robbery happened around 3 a.m. Friday at the J & M Jewelry store on 26 Mile road and Van Dyke.

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says the thieves used a large boulder to smash the storefront window and then proceeded to use hammers to smash all of the display cases.

Surveillance cameras recorded the robbery.

Police say there were three individuals dressed in hooded jackets wearing masks and gloves … the suspects were in the store all of 58 seconds.
