Top Baby Names In 2012

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) – Having a baby can be a very exciting time for a couple, especially when it comes to choosing the right name.

The Social Security Administration has released the list of the most popular baby names of 2012. The the top five for girls were Sophia, Emma, Isabella, Oliva and Ava. For boys: Jacob, Mason, Ethan, Noah and William.

The top five fasting rising baby names for girls last year were Arya, Perla, Catalina, Elisa and Raelyn; and for boys, Major, Gael, Jase, Messiah and Brantley.
