DETROIT (WWJ) – It’s the weekend again, which means it’s time for some road work and intermittent lane closures in metro Detroit.

The following projects were announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.


In Detroit/Wayne County, eastbound and westbound I-94 between 8 Mile Road and Cadieux Road will have single-lane closures from 9 p.m. Friday until 2 p.m. Saturday for lighting and sign work.


In Wayne County, southbound I-275 at the M-14 interchange will have intermittent double-lane closures on Saturday from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. for pavement work.

US-24 (Telegraph Road):

In Oakland County, the southbound Telegraph Road ramp to westbound M-10 (Northwestern Highway) will be closed on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. for maintenance work. The southbound US-24 ramp to westbound I-696 will remain open.

Old M-14 (Ann Arbor Road):

In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound Ann Arbor Road between I-275 and Newburgh Road will have double-lane closures from 9 p.m. Friday until 8 p.m. Saturday for pavement repairs.

Beginning the week of Monday, May 13:


In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound I-96 at Kent Lake Road will have left-lane closures on Monday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
