Big Summer Blockbuster Has Local Ties

Detroit (CBS Detroit)- Want to see Monsters University early? Well now you can.

The Detroit Institute of Arts is hosting a preview screening for Monsters University. Did you know that the film has Michigan ties? Dan Scanlon, the director, is a proud native of Clawson. He will also be in attendance at the pre-screening.

The event includes a reception with the director and afterglow which will have many exclusive auction items ranging from original concept art to signed posters.

Tickets cost between $50 and $150. This special event is in support of Digital Arts, Film & Television (DAFT), Assistance League and Friends of the Detroit Film Theatre (FDFT).
