Detroit (CBS 62)- Detroit R&B singer Dwele is set to perform on May 31st at the first day of the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix.

Born and raised in west Detroit, Dwele – born Andwele Gardner – has released six albums, with the latest in 2012 entitled Greater Than One. He has worked with Kanye West on Grammy-winning singles “Power” and “Flashing Lights.”
Dwele’s performance will follow a full opening day of track activity featuring practice and qualifying for the IZOD IndyCar Series, the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series, and the Pirelli World Challenge Series on the newly-configured 2.3-mile Belle Isle street circuit.
