By Ryan Wooley

DETROIT (WWJ) – WWJ Sports Anchor Ryan Wooley spoke with former Michigan standout Trey Burke about the upcoming NBA draft, whether he would like to play for the Pistons and his thoughts about whether Michigan should honor the Fab Five now that Chris Webber’s 10-year ban has been lifted.

Is Burke getting advice from any current players in the NBA?

“I’ve talked to a couple,” said Burke.”I’ve talked to Jared Sullinger, obviously, I’ve talked to Michael Redd, I’ve talked to Evan Turner a little bit … guys like Manny Harris – they’ve all given me advice. I’m sure I’ll talk to more in the upcoming weeks. LeBron actually texted me a couple weeks back.”

Burke will be at SportsCard Central in Farmington Hills, Thursday May 23, at 6 p.m. to sign autographs.

He says he’s looking forward to being with a new team – telling Ryan Wooley that he’d be happy to be a Detroit Piston.

For more information on the autograph session, or obtain tickets call (248) 626-4300.
