ESD Sets Annual Golf Outing: The Engineering Society of Detroit’s second annual golf outing offers everyone concerned with science and engineering a great way to have a lot of fun, meet great people and companies, honor the memory of The Engineering Society of Detroit Institute’s Co-Founder, David A. Skiven, and continue his work to solve the problems we face in Michigan. The event will be held June 3 at Oak Pointe Country Club in Brighton, with an 11 a.m. registration and luncheon, a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, and a 5 p.m. reception and open bar followed by dinner. Diamond sponsor of the event is DTE Energy. Platinum sponsors are Barton Malow, Commercial Contracting Corp., Durr, Ghafari and Link. Silver sponsors are David Allan & Co., Farbman Group, Inernational Union of Operating Engineers Local 324, Kitch Attorneys & Counselors, Merle J. Webb Fruitland LLC, and UBS. Widely regarded for the Arthur Hills and Jerry Matthews-designed golf courses, Oak Pointe has been one of the top private clubs in Livingston County for nearly two decades, offering 36 holes of championship golf. Sponsorships are available. For more information, contact Linda LaPointe at 248-353-0735, ext. 111, or email llapointe@esd.org.
