New Security Software From Pontiac's RazorThreat

PONTIAC -- RazorThreat Vision's latest release provides a Local Threat Index identifying the greatest risk to the organization delivering actionable threat intelligence to mitigate cyber risk.

The negative or signature-based approach to network security is rendering current perimeter defenses inadequate against today's advanced persistent threats. The ability to identify and document every attack vector has limited the effectiveness of current negative control products ranging from firewalls to security information and event management systems. However, their effectiveness can be improved when used as a data source for threat intelligence when coupled with Positive Control Analytics.

RazorThreat Vision provides positive control analytics utilizing the data aggregated in SIEM and other disparate application and threat sources to create an organization's Local Threat Index.

"Most organizations today have the raw data required to provide actionable intelligence, they just don't have the tools to easily analyze the data," said Greg Guidice, president and CEO of RazorThreat.

Using Vision's threat analytics RazorThreat Vision compares an organization's Local Threat Index against a Global Threat Index to rank associated risk to the organization. Vision's threat analytics provides actionable intelligence to mitigate the risk of a data breach.

RazorThreat, based in Pontiac, provides cyber-security software that detects unknown and unauthorized activity occurring in a network whether it originated externally to the organization or internally. RazorThreat Vision provides active intelligence enabling organizations to quickly detect, analyze and remediate potential threats. For more information, please visit www.razorthreat.com.
