DETROIT (WWJ) – It’s a sure sign that Memorial Day is near: rising gas prices.

AAA Michigan says prices at the pump jumped 10 cents over the past week to a statewide average of $3.88 a gallon. That’s 13 cents more than this time last year. The priciest part of the state is Marquette at $3.95 a gallon. Gas is cheapest, on average, in the Saginaw-Bay City area at $3.83.
