Police: Hamtramck Teacher Peeped On Principal

HAMTRAMCK (WWJ) - A Hamtramck High School teacher is charged with spying on the school principal from the bushes outside her home.

Investigating a call from a passerby, police said they found 42-year-old Gerald Gresham looking through the woman's window Wednesday night -- with a video camera in hand. The 34-year-old victim lives on Ardmore Street in Ferndale.

Police said Gresham had initially told them the principal was his former girlfriend, which turned out to be a lie.

They said Gresham had asked the woman out repeatedly without  success, and an investigation revealed he'd been peeping at her from her yard for at least a month.

Gresham is charged with eavesdropping. Bond was set at $2,000.

He's due back in Ferndale District Court for a pre-exam hearing next Thursday.
