DETROIT (WWJ) – Due to the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, MDOT will suspend most road work and remove restrictions wherever possible beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, May 24, and continuing until 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 28.
The following work is scheduled to begin Tuesday night, May 28, through Thursday, May 30. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.
In Detroit/Wayne County, the exit and entrance ramps from Van Dyke Avenue to eastbound I-94 will be closed beginning Wednesday, May 29, at 9 a.m. through early October.
In Detroit/Wayne County, both directions of I-94 between Cadieux and Conner avenues will have single-lane closures nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
In Wayne County, southbound I-75 at South Huron River Drive will have a single-lane closure for pavement repairs beginning Tuesday at 9 a.m. and ending Friday at 5 p.m.
In Oakland County, the southbound I-75 ramp to 12 Mile Road will be closed for permit work from Tuesday at 9 a.m. until Thursday at 2 p.m.
In Wayne County, the northbound M-39 ramp to Van Born Road will be closed for permit work on Tuesday at 9 a.m. until Saturday, June 1.
US-24 (Telegraph Road):
In Oakland County, northbound Telegraph Road north of 8 Mile Road will have a single-lane closure daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. beginning Tuesday and ending in early June for utility work.
M-53 (Van Dyke Avenue):
In Detroit/Wayne County, both directions of Van Dyke Avenue between Lambert Street and Harper Avenue will be closed from Wednesday at 7 a.m. until early October. Local access will be maintained to businesses and residents.
M-97 (Groesbeck Highway):
In Macomb County, southbound Groesbeck Highway from 14 Mile Road to Hayes Road will have double-lane closures nightly from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday through Friday.
