Caputo: Three Players Who Need To Get Going For The Tigers' Offense To Wake Up

1. Victor Martinez - He has a tremendous track record as a clutch hitter, but there is a possibility sitting out all of last season and age (34) has caught up to Martinez. He is hitting .229 and his OPS is just .582. It's almost June. It's time for Martinez to get going. His lack of production is starting to hurt the Tigers.
2. Andy Dirks - The Tigers needed Dirks to pick up the slack with Austin Jackson on the disabled list. He hasn't really done it.
3. Austin Jackson - The Tigers not only need him back in the lineup as soon as possible, but performing better than before he went on the D.L. with a hamstring pull. Jackson had been slumping. It is expected he will be sent to Triple-A Toledo on injury rehabilitation assignment soon. The sooner Jackson gets back to the major leagues, the better.
