Man Dies After Falling Off ORV On Trail

MONTROSE TOWNSHIP (WWJ/AP) - Officials in Montrose Township a young man has died after falling off an off-road vehicle while riding on a trail in Genesee County.

Deputy Fire Chief George Taylor told The Flint Journal that crews responded just before noon on Sunday and found the man dead next to a four-wheel vehicle in Montrose, about 70 miles northwest of Detroit.

Taylor says it appears that the man flipped off the vehicle after hitting a rut in the trail in the 10300 block of North McKinley, between Wilson Road to the north and Dodge Road to the south.

Officials said the man was in his 20s. His name has not been released..

A cause of death has not yet been determined as an investigation continues.
