Make Macomb Your Home Website Celebrates First Birthday

MT. CLEMENS -- Marking the one-year anniversary of the launch of the Make Macomb Your Home (MMYH) website, a number of new features have been added to the online experience of the Make Macomb Your Home marketing campaign.

"Visitors can find real-time information about places to live, stay and enjoy in Macomb," said Macomb County Executive Mark A. Hackel. "The enhancements better market the County and make the content more interactive and engaging."

MakeMacombYourHome.com now offers:
• A new web store where visitors can purchase MMYH gear. Those purchases will help fund the marketing and promotion of Macomb County.
• Current real estate listings, making it easier than ever for someone to get the information they need to Make Macomb Their Home.
• Real-time hotel availability and pricing as well as future listings with web-based travel scheduler Kayak's hotel finder.

These features build upon the new community-driven content added earlier in the year. The Make Macomb Your Home blog content is submitted by community members and features local events, businesses and groups highlighting what makes Macomb a special place to live, work and play. The website content will continue to be refreshed and updated to provide visitors with the most up-to-date County-related information.

"Marketing and branding Macomb County is a priority of the new charter and a passion of the county executive," said Grace Shore, Macomb County Chamber of Commerce CEO. "In addition to these new features, they are also adding great information about local attractions, events and entertainment options."

"The website does a great job in marketing the County. It provides great value to our businesses and really helps spread the word about what we have to offer. The feedback we've heard from the community about the initiative has been extremely positive," added Sterling Heights Regional Chamber President Wayne Oehmke.

Make Macomb Your Home is an initiative launched by Executive Hackel to market and promote communities and assets in the County. The site www.MakeMacombYourHome.com was started to give residents and visitors easy-to-access information about Macomb County. The Make Macomb Your Home website is accompanied by billboards, social media, television and movie commercials.
