Longshot Palace Malice Wins Belmont Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) – Three different horses have captured each leg of this year’s Triple Crown.

Longshot Palace Malice, under Mike Smith, relished the extra distance of the mile and a-half Belmont Stakes for trainer Todd Pletcher. It was the second Belmont Stakes triumph for both Smith and Pletcher

Preakness winner Oxbow ran second and Kentucky Derby winner Orb was third.

Palace Malice paid $29.60 for a two-dollar ticket.
