New Jeep Cherokee Delayed
DETROIT (WWJ) - It looks like it's going to take longer than expected for Chrysler to launch its very important new Jeep Cherokee.
That will leave Jeep without a player in the very important mid-size SUV segment longer than expected. Chrysler stopped making the Liberty when it started revamping the Toledo plant for the return of the Cherokee.
Automotive News says there have been issues with getting production right, and with getting the transmission right. It looks like the Cherokee will reach dealers in the fall, a couple of months later than expected.
