Michigan Works Sets Annual Conference

LANSING -- The state's Michigan Works employment agencies will hold their annual conference Sunday, Sept. 8 through Tuesday, Sept. 10 in Mt. Pleasant.

Michigan's signature talent development conference offers dynamic keynote presentations, a wide array of professional development opportunities and plenty of time for networking.

There will be more than 30 workshops, panels and interactive sessions, led by thought leaders and industry experts.

The agencies' "Sequestration Sale" has also been extended, with a 20 percent discount off early registration available through July 15.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, with the program running noon to 8:30 p.m. that day. The program continues from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9 and from 7:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 10.
