Tigers starter Rick Porcello was certainly good enough to earn a win Sunday in Tampa Bay. Unfortunately, squaring off with Jeremy Hellickson, the Rays’ starter was just a bit better.
Porcello allowed three earned runs on eight hits and two walks through 101 pitches over six, solid innings. Despite the quality start, Porcello took the loss to fall to 4-6 with a 5.21 ERA. He struck out three.
