Stabenow Pushing For Reversal On Student Loan Rate Hike
SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - Senator Debbie Stabenow will be joining students from colleges across Michigan Monday at Oakland Community College in Southfield.
Senator Stabenow is pushing Congress to pass legislation she is sponsoring to reverse the rate hike on student loans.
In Michigan, nearly 300,000 students will be hit with an average increase of almost $1,000 per loan.
She says her legislation will help ensure that college remains within reach for students who rely on federal loans to pay for their education.
