Natalie Merchant To Perform With Detroit Symphony Thursday

DETROIT (AP/WWJ) — Natalie Merchant is joining the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for a one-night-only concert.

The singer and the DSO are to perform together Thursday night at Orchestra Hall.

She's to perform tunes off her most recent CD, 2010's "Leave Your Sleep."

The former 10,000 Maniacs singer is known for her introspective, literary lyrics and catchy melodies and for such songs as "Wonder" and "Jealousy."

"See her perform the songs that have captivated for three decades and selections from her most recent recording, 'Leave Your Sleep,'" the DSO said on its website.
