Aretha Franklin Cancels Concert At DTE Energy Music Theater
DETROIT (WWJ) - Aretha Franklin has canceled her upcoming concert at DTE Energy Music Theater.
In a letter to fans, the Queen of Soul said she's canceling her "One Last Time" show on July 27 because of a scheduling conflict with her treatment for an undisclosed illness.
"It would be totally disruptive to stop them now and go into concert with total success right at the door, 100 percent," she said.
Franklin signed the letter thanking her fans, saying "I love you much and more than the spoken word can tell. I'll see you next summer."
The show was previously postponed in June "due to a minor medical situation."
