Jason Maxiell Leaves Pistons

DETROIT (CBS DETROIT) - After eight years with the Detroit Pistons, free agent forward Jason Maxiell has signed a two-year, $5 million deal with the Orlando Magic, according to Yahoo Sports.

A first-round pick by the Pistons in 2005, Maxiell averaged 6.1 points and 4.4 rebounds in 19.1 minutes per game for the Pistons over his time in Detroit. He played in 72 games for the Pistons last season.

Detroit went 29-53 in the 2012-2013 season, while the Magic went 20-62.
