Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends For Youth Baseball Clinic

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic on Sunday, July 21st, 2013. The free baseball clinic features Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills, and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth ages 6 – 16.

Then the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a “Swing with the Legends” celebrity golf tournament featuring Hall of Famers, former MLB All-Stars, and other alumni. The tournament will take place on Monday, July 22nd, 2013. There will also feature an auction of baseball memorabilia. Proceeds from this event will benefit KinderVision and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA).

Alumni players attending the clinic include Denny McLain, Jon Warden, Larry Brinkley, Dave Ford, Glen Gulliver, Von Joshua, Don Kirkwood, and Paul Noce.

The clinic will take place at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Baseball Complexfrom 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. located at 3535 Indian Trail, Orchard Lake Village, MI, 48324. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running, and life skills. Registration will begin at 12:00 p.m. The afternoon will conclude with an autograph session for children in attendance.

Alumni players attending the golf event include Al Kaline, Rollie Fingers, Darrell Evans, Richard Colpaert, Tom Davey, David Ford, Glenn Gulliver, Ray Herbert, Von Joshua, Don Kirkwood, Dick Lange, Rick Leach, Bob Miller, Paul Noce, Dan O’Brien, Dan Petry, Dave Rozema, Pat Sheridan, John Warden, and Milt Wilcox.

The tournament will take place at Edgewood Country Club, with registration starting at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. Edgewood Country Clubis located at 8399 Commerce Road, Commerce, MI, 48382.
