One Killed In M-59 Crash

AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) – One man is dead and another is hospitalized in serious condition after a crash in Auburn Hills.

It happened Monday morning along  eastbound M-59 near Squirrel Road. Investigators say a car ran off the Squirrel Road ramp and crashed in a wooded area.

The driver, a 29-year-old Auburn Hills man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 24-year-old Southfield man, was transported to McLaren Osteopathic Hospital in Pontiac.

It was not immediately clear what might have caused the crash. No names were released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
