WDIV news anchor Rhonda Walker is more than just a pretty face on television. She is a big sports fan and enjoys playing golf. Walker admitted during a visit with Terry Foster of the Valenti and Foster Show that she is not the best driver off the tee, but she makes sure she nails it on the first hole because she knows everybody is watching.
Detroiters will get a chance to see Walker drive it Monday during the Automotive Industry Golf Challenge at Wyngate Country Club. It is the last part of a two day fundraiser for the Rhonda Walker Foundation that assists inner city girls.
On Sunday the foundation will host the Give and Get Fit 5K run/walk and 10 K race at the Bank of American headquarters in Troy near Somerset Collection in Troy. Walker talks about promoting better health for Detroit which has been called one of the most unfit cities in the United States.
