DETROIT (CBS DETROIT) - More than a week after the All-Star Game, the Detroit Tigers have yet to add to their bullpen with a trade. They could, however, bring up former Tiger Jeremy Bonderman from Triple-A Toledo. Though the Seattle Mariners and their minor league affiliate in Tacoma, Wash., used Bonderman as a starting pitcher, he is expected to be a reliever in the Tigers' system.

For the Mariners, Bonderman amassed a 4.93 ERA over seven starts, striking out 17 batters and walking 16. Through three games with Toledo, Bonderman has not allowed any hits, walks or runs over three innings.

A pitcher who likely will not be with the Tigers any time soon is Brayan Villarreal. He has a 3.15 ERA through 28 games in Toledo this season, but he will not be throwing for at least the next two to four weeks after apparently slipping in the shower and injuring his right thumb.
