Rockland Furniture Round Cribs Recalled

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - Another brand of drop-side cribs as been recalled.

Rockland Furniture is recalling its Round Cribs — sold exclusively at JCPenney stores —  due to problems with the drop sides.

Rockland says the sides can malfunction, detach or otherwise fail. If that happens, a baby could suffocate or get stuck. A child could also fall out of the crib or be injured due to incorrect assembly and with wear and tear.

The recall involves cribs with model number 343-8314. The model number is printed on a label located on the inner-lower portion of the crib rail. The cribs are 44 ½ inches in diameter and were sold in white, ebony and cherry finishes.

Repair kits to immobilize the drop side will be sent to owners for free.

Customers may contact Rockland Furniture toll-free at 877-967-5770 anytime, or visit this link and click on "Round Crib Recall."
