Gloves For Kids This Weekend At Comerica Park!

97.1 The Ticket and WWJ Newsradio 950 have teamed up with the Detroit Tigers to collect baseball and softball equipment for young players this weekend.

The gloves for kids in-park equipment donation weekend is July 26-28 at Comerica Park.

Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used baseball or softball equipment – bats, gloves and balls -  to the Tigers games this weekend and donate to Gloves for Kids. All donations will benefit The Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities, and give a child in southeastern Michigan the opportunity to play baseball.

Collection bins will be set up at the Comerica Park gates starting at 5 p.m. Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27, and 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 28. The bins will stay through the second inning of each game.  A game ticket is not necessary to donate items.

As a thank you, fans who donate will receive a Detroit Tigers Max Scherzer Collector Card.

The Detroit Tigers Gloves for Kids program is sponsored by 97.1 The Ticket, WWJ Newsradio 950, ABC Warehouse and FOX Sports Detroit. For more information about Gloves for Kids or the Detroit Tigers Foundation, call 313-471-2113 or go to detroittigersfoundation.org.
