X-Men Fans Unite: "The Wolverine" Returns!

DETROIT (WWJ) – X-Men fans, it's time to celebrate: Wolverine is baaack!

In Marvel's latest movie about one of the world's favorite X-Men, "The Wolverine" is an action-packed nonstop adrenaline rush that features Hugh Jackman returning to the Big Screen as Wolverine. In his latest adventure, Wolverine, aka Logan, embarks on a wild journey through modern Japan.

Logan (Wolverine's name when he's not saving the world) is lured to Japan by an old acquaintance, a Japanese soldier he met and saved at a Japanese prison camp during World War II. Having kept a low-key lifestyle since the war, Logan is lured to Japan where he finds himself coming face-to-face with a shadowy figure. He ends up on the run with Mariko (Tao Okamoto), heiress to Japan's most profitable company. While on the run with Mariko, he's confronted with a choice he's never faced before: the choice to become mortal.

This story pits Wolverine up against some of his toughest foes yet. Of course, there are plenty of battle scenes – as there are in all X-Men movies – but none compare to the fight atop a speeding Bullet Train! Not to mention the shocking climactic battle scene.

"The Wolverine" also stars Rila Fukushima as Yukio, Wolverine's "bodyguard".

See you at the movies!

Rated PG-13.
