ROSEVILLE (WWJ) – It was perfect weather for Roseville’s first-ever hot-rod cruise down Gratiot Avenue near 12 Mile road.
Event coordinator Stephan Pawl says that’s because classic cars don’t always do well when the mercury rises.
“Some of the older cars – the classic cars get overheated in hot weather, so it’s not hot outside so the cars are not getting overheated,” said Pawl.
“We are east-side, this is our neighborhood, that’s the difference,” said Pawl.”We live here and we just wanted to make sure that those who have their beautiful classic cars – all the time and money that they’ve spent on their cars… and their pride – that they can show that in their backyard, to their own neighbors, involving their own families in a very safe family friendly environment – which is Roseville on the east-side.”
Pawl says turn out is so good..plans are already in the works for next years cruise down Gratiot.
