Detroit Police Investigating Deadly Gas Station Shooting

UPDATE: Detroit Police are investigating a fatal shooting that might have stemmed from road rage.

The victim is the driver of a black Dodge Journey, who appears to be in his mid-30s. The vehicle came to a stop when it hit a tree, a block from where Detroit Police say the driver was shot at the Marathon gas station at Warren and McGraw. The suspect is still on the run.

As the investigation continues, there are a lot of unanswered questions. Police saying they're not sure exactly what led to this tragic ending. Anyone with information is being asked to call Detroit Police.

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit Police Homicide investigators are on the scene of a fatal shooting on Detroit's west side.

Police say that around 4:00 Monday morning, one person was shot in their car at a Marathon gas station on McGraw and Warren streets. The vehicle then apparently was either driven away or the driver lost control and struck a tree. The car came to rest at Warren and 33rd, near the old Kronk Boxing gym. Detroit police are searching for the suspect.
