Body Found Where Fisherman Went Missing

GREEN OAK TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Crews from the Green Oak Township fire department, along with the Livingston County Sheriff's Office, were on the scene, Wednesday afternoon, where a body was found in Whitmore Lake.

Officials talking to WWJ Newsradio 950 said a jet skier discovered a body in the lake earlier in the morning.

Authorities have been trying to determine whether it is that of a 46-year-old fisherman who went missing when he fell out of his boat Sunday afternoon.

The boat kept circling in the water, and the man was unable to return to it. Witnesses attempted to rescue him, but were unsuccessful.

Dive teams from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department and several police agencies were called out to try to find the man, but were unsuccessful.
