CTS’ LS150C Adds Color Support and Increased Processing Speed
WIXOM (WWJ) — CTS North America, a provider of branch automation equipment and services for the financial services industry, has rolled out its new LS150C scanner, which enables financial institutions to scan color documents up to 150 per minute and grayscale documents up to 180 DPM.
The company said the new scanner will increase efficiency in teller and branch capture, and broaden the range of remote deposit capture applications for the LS150 scanner family.
Today, retail bankers require faster processing speeds when capturing branch-deposited checks and other items that necessitate maximum image quality. CTS’ LS150C is ideal at the teller window or back counter for handling high check volumes and deposit spikes of government payments and WIC vouchers. In addition, the LS150C is functionally identical to existing LS150 scanners, minimizing the cost of training, supplies and support in a mixed-scanner environment.
For remittance and lockbox processing, scanning items in color is often required for customer files and archiving. The LS150C is an excellent solution for mid-volume batch capture in color. Additionally the LS150C can be deployed with CTS’ revolutionary ClearPIX image enhancement software. ClearPIX boosts the performance of CAR engines, especially on difficult-to-read items such as money orders and WIC vouchers. It also speeds manual proofing in batch environments by ensuring 99 percent human readability of scanned items.
“We see more and more segmenting of check scan work, whether in the branch or at other capture points,” explained Glen Fossella, COO of CTS North America. “Expanding the LS150 family to incorporate color and higher processing speed enables our customers to deploy scanners and optimize their capture network as they see fit, versus being constrained by hardware limitations.”
The LS150C is available with all the same standard and optional features of the LS150 family. The LS150C is also complemented by CTS’ wide range of scanners providing unrivaled durability and functionality. From compact remote deposit scanners to multi-functional branch/teller models through streamlined back-office and high-volume remittance devices, the CTS family of scanners are engineered to add efficiency across the entire banking enterprise.
