ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) — KNS Technologies Corp., an IT products and services provider based in Herndon, Va., announced it has opened an office in St. Clair Shores.
Company officials said they’d been studying the positive stories about Detroit’s tech economy for some time and were particularly influenced by key production data indicating the comeback of the United States auto industry.
Having touched 16.4 million in 2002, vehicle production had fallen to an abysmal 8.6 million in 2009 and it’s been a slow and hard climb since then. However, the output in 2013 is forecast to surpass 16 million units or the first time in more than a decade. Buoyed by this turnaround, KNS has decided to focus on this market and has quickly moved to mark its presence.
KNS plans to offer tier 1 and 2 automotive suppliers, value added solutions from the following portfolio of emerging technologies:
Data integration and Big Data
CRM platforms – Open source
KNS already has a track record of successfully executing Oracle and data integration projects at Fortune 500 corporations for the past 15 years. Further, it would tap into its expertise in business process automation tools in the Mobile, CRM and Web platforms. The main mission for KNS is to offer SMBs in Michigan and Ohio, the tools they need to sustain the business momentum and excel — for improved productivity, quicker decisions through smart data analyses, better engagement with customers and staying ahead of competition.
