Airport Authority Seeking To Expand Shuttle Service

ROMULUS, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - The Wayne County Airport Authority is looking into a plan to expand shuttle service between the airport and downtown Detroit. The authority says it'll be requesting information soon on possible new providers.

Right now, passengers' only options are a Metro Cars trip at an average cost of $56 each way, or an infrequent local bus that takes more than two hours round trip.

The Detroit Free Press says airport officials have talked in recent weeks with the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau.
