Duggan On Write-In Campaign: "We've Done Everything We Can Do"
DETROIT (WWJ) - Months of campaigning and court battles coming to a close just hours before the August primary election in Detroit.
Supporters of write-in candidate Mike Duggan gathered outside the Duggan campaign headquarters near downtown Detroit Monday. The supporters were all wearing a sandwich board bearing a sample ballot, showing how his name should be written in and the oval next to it filled in.
How's the candidate feeling just a day before the primary election?
"I feel like we've done everything we can do," said Duggan. "And so the voters will make a decision and we'll see how they feel but you can see the dedicated volunteers we got here it's been an amazing effort and I really think that our volunteer base will carry us."
Duggan says he's getting good feedback from voters, who he thinks are ready for a change.
