DETROIT (CBS DETROIT) – At 23 years old, Jose Iglesias has officially made it big.

After recently being acquired by the Detroit Tigers to replace suspended shortstop Jhonny Peralta, Iglesias has signed a new employee of his own – big-money agent Scott Boras.

Boras is also the agent for Iglesias’ Tigers teammates Prince Fielder and Max Scherzer. He is known for making monster deals for his players, which, of course, translates into large commissions for him.

On an unrelated note, Iglesias was scratched from the Tigers’ lineup Thursday because of a toe contusion suffered when he got spiked on a stolen base attempt Wednesday, according to the Tigers.
