Take Part In A Detroit Education Summit

DETROIT (WWJ) – The public is invited to attend to attend a town hall-style meeting about “the urgent need to educate our children.”

WWJ City Beat Reporter Vickie Thomas will co-moderate this event which will focus on ways leaders, educators, parents and students themselves must rally to take advantage of the options available to them to educate Michigan’s kids “from cradle to career.”

Hosted by the Michigan Chronicle, the 2013 Education Town Hall Meeting will take place from 6 p.m – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at the Wayne County Community College, Downtown Campus: 1001 W. Fort Street, Detroit, 48226.

The event is FREE to attend, but space is limited.
