4-Year-Old Dies After Shooting Himself In Head

DUNDEE, MI (WWJ) - A four-year old boy has died after apparently shooting himself in the head.

Police were called to a home on Rawson Street in Dundee shortly before 4:30 Sunday afternoon, where EMS crews were already working on the child. He was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, where he died.

The gun belonged to a 30-year-old friend of the boy's father, police said.

The man was arrested on manslaughter and gross negligence charges.
