Cedar Point Tries To Lure Michigan Kids After Ohio Goes Back To School

SANDUSKY, OH. (WWJ) Michigan children can't return to classes, per state law, until after Labor Day.

Ohio kids, meanwhile, are going back before August ends.

That leaves a bit of time where Ohio amusements could be kid-free during the day.

Enter Cedar Point's latest deal, called "Michigan Days." To lure Michigan residents in the lull after Ohio youngsters head back to class, the park is offering Michigan residents a Ride and Refresh ticket for $44.99 between Aug. 19-29.

The special ticket includes free sodas all day while you're at the park. The unlimited beverage wristband usually costs $7.

Regular admission for Michigan residents in that time span is $39.99 -- $15 off the usual price at the gate.
