ROCHESTER (WWJ) — Coil Group, the Rochester-based enterprise mobile strategy and application development agency, Thursday announced the addition of four new staffers.
Scott Holliday joins as Director of Technology. Scott has built hundreds of mobile apps and led mobile teams at some of the leading mobile tech companies in the Great Lakes. Scott loves to mentor junior developers and solving big problems and is leading several mobile projects as well as product development for Coil.
Shelly Gonzalez joins as UX Director after stints at leading local software development firms and an offshore based mobile development shop. Shelly brings a unique skillset as an experienced project manager and usability expert. Her focus will be in ensuring that Coil Group’s user centered development approach translates into end-user productivity enhancements using mobile tools.
Ryan Allen and Brad Wade join as web developers in transition to mobile developers. Their transition into top flight mobile developers is partially funded by Automation Alley’s Technical Talent Development Program (TTDP) Challenge Fund. The grant, funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, helps transition solid Michigan developers from legacy technologies into cutting edge mobile technologies. Since joining Coil Group, both Ryan and Brad receive training and mentoring and are jumping in to live mobile projects for several clients across Michigan.
“The mentoring, support and resources provided by our Automation Alley membership as well as the continuing support of our customers has helped us contribute to being job creators in Michigan,” said Coil Group founder Jim Brown. “It has been such a rewarding experience to get the support of our customers, partners and Automation Alley, we feel truly blessed.”
