Body Found In West Bloomfield Pond

WEST BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) – Police are hoping an autopsy will shed more light on what happened to a woman whose body was found floating in a pond.

The gruesome discovery was made Thursday in the area of Orchard Lake and Lone Pine roads in West Bloomfield Township. A nearby resident called 911 after apparently finding a woman’s body floating face down in a pond.

Police say it appears the body could have been in the water for several days, but offered up few other details.

Investigators are reportedly checking missing persons reports in the area to possibly identify the woman.

The Oakland County Medical Examiner is expected to conduct an autopsy on Friday.
