Sanford, a Retail Sales Associate, participated in a local contestant search conducted by the show at Walsh College’s Novi Campus with help from CBS 62. See photos and more from the event hosted back on July 26.

Sanford’s parents, Terrence and Lois Sanford were there supporting him. They sat in the studio audience and cheered him on.

“Millionaire” implemented several changes to gameplay in 2010, infusing more excitement, comedy, playfulness and fun into the show for both the contestant and home viewer. The “lifelines” are still there, but the game is divided into two rounds. In the first round, the question difficulty and values are random and in round two it’s classic “Millionaire,” where only four questions remain and the difficulty increases.

Cedric “The Entertainer” debuts as the new host of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” this fall as the hit game show launches its 12th season. A comedian with widespread appeal, Cedric is best known for his work on the record-breaking “Kings of Comedy” tour.
